Not many willing to take any chances anymore. Afraid of financial ruin. I often wonder about those that confess to love the Lord but stop short when they have to include him in weath and possessions.

You go Fran. On the topic thing, I like the idea, but a danger is that you can just fill up with so many topics that you never get to the meat. Just have to be purposeful about it. One great recourse that I’ve come across is called H2O which comes in easy and sets up a lot of great conversation. Some folks at NHCC just might be able to loan it to you.

Here's the link to H2O: http://www.christianbook.com/Christian/Books/product?isbn=1418533912

Steve, thanks for bringing this blog to my attention. You have always had a way of pointing me back to Christ and I don't have to be your children's director for you to do it! I appreciated being able to take a leap of faith journey with you this morning as I sip my tea and was transported into the idea of the kingdom of God. I especially needed to hear the part about us all truly needing to choose Christ for ourselves. When it comes to evangelizing to others, or simply praying for them, in the end, they have to choose Christ and if they don't, we can't do it for them.

Chris and I are thinking about starting a small group in our house. I have a vision for us to discuss controversal topics. Wish us luck! I hope to have unbelievers in the mix and stir up the need for Christ. Need to figure out how to do that with the kids around and where to find the time to plan for it. Maybe I'll just randomly pick a topic off the top of my head each week and go from there. If you have any controversy we can use, send it our way!

One can merely be a part of this World or take a "leap of faith" and be a part of God's World.
